![]() ![]() Intel's documentation for the C232 chipset lists 0 for # of Displays Supported, so I'm guessing this is a chipset limitation. It uses video integrated with the ASPEED AST2400 BMC. ![]() Unfortunately, this motherboard cannot use the integrated GPU. I am transrating six bitrates from 720p to 180p. I replaced the Xeon with a Core i3-7350K that has an HD 630 integrated GPU, which is excellent for hardware video transcoding. This is installed on dual Xeon system with 16 cores and 32 GB RAM, running Windows Server 2016. After pulling my hair out trying to get PCI Passthrough working with a Xeon, I replaced it with a Core i3, and was able to get it working.Ģ) Intel Quick Sync Video for hardware video transcoding in Plex/Jellyfin will not work on this motherboard A write-up on Heiko's Blog, IOMMU Groups – What You Need to Consider, explains the problems with this Xeon series CPUs. Intel Xeon E2324G Processor 8M Cache 3.10 GHz Product Specifications quick reference guide including specifications, features, pricing, compatibility, design documentation, ordering codes, spec codes and more. Xeon E3-1200 CPUs, however, have issues with PCI Passthrough. Intel's documentation for the Xeon E3-1200 series CPUs and the C232 chipset, used on the motherboard, state that both support Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (VT-d), which is needed for PCI Passthrough. It is OK, but has a couple of potentially-disappointing limitations that you should be aware of.ġ) Xeon E3-1200 v5/v6 series CPUs suck at PCI Passthrough However, I don't see this code available on OBS, only QuickSync H.264. I can verify that the GPU is being used and the encoding is much faster than generic x265 on HANDBRAKE. ![]() I have an X11SSL-F board running in a Proxmox host. I am saying I have QuickSync HEVC on handbrake on this machine, and it works. Yes, some specific SKU of Haswell donot support QuickSync capability. Only Xeon E3-12xx v5 and Core i3 6th gen ( Skylake) or E3-12xx v6 and Core i3 7th gen ( Kaby Lake) are supported. ![]()
